17-18.MARCH.2012 - HRISTINA STOEVA WON SILVER MEDAL ON THE "39th DUTCH OPEN 2012", ETU A-CLASS TOURNAMENT, AINDHOVEN / NEDHERLANDS

The first medal for the Bulgarian Taekwondo form "Duch Open 2012", has been won by Hristina Stoeva (-44 kg, Juniors) from Taekwondo club Hereya, on 18th of March 2012. She won a Silver medal on the "39th Dutch Open 2012" ETU A-Class Tournament, held in Eindhoven / Holland. There were more than 1200 athletes, 270 taekwondo clubs, 62 national teams from Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, North and South America.
In her first game, Hristina faced a competitor from England (bronze medalist of European Championship for Cadets in 2011 - Tbilisi / Georgia). The English fighter was totally overplayed with a result 16:6. The second game Hristina won with 5:4 against a competitor from Ukraine, who previously eliminated a girl form Azerbaijan (bronze medalist of European Championship in Paphos / Cyprus in 2011). In this game the referees did not take under account two head kicks that Hristina made. However, she qualified for the finals.  In the final, Hristina faced a representative of Scotland, who will represent Britain at the World Cup for Juniors in April this year. In a very equivalent game, in which our girl led the game 5:4 in the third round there was a massive referee mistake - 4 points for the Scottish girl without any head contact. The referees had a very long debate but unfortunately gave points to the opponent. After the game started again, it followed a very rude kick in Hristina’s calf,  and she was unable to continue the match due to medical prohibition.
Tzvetelina Nikolova (-42 kg, Juniors) - In the first game our girl faced a competitor form England. She led with 2 points in the third round but lost in the end with 4:7 due to lack of tactical discipline. After that the English competitor reached the final after 3 wins.
The coaches of Taekwondo club Hereya express their gratitude to their students for the success they achieved. We are proud with them because of their victories in the most prestigious Taekwondo WTF tournaments in Europe!
